Resin Art Workshop
The Resin Art Workshop provides a hands-on experience for participants
to create unique resin art pieces inspired by the natural beauty and
cultural heritage of Negombo, Sri Lanka. This two-day workshop, led by
a professional resin artist, introduces participants to the history,
techniques, and artistic possibilities of working with resin.
On Day 01, participants receive an in-depth introduction to the
ancient origins and cultural significance of resin, followed by a
guided art session where they design pieces using locally sourced
elements like sand, seashells, and dried seaweed from Negombo’s
beaches. Participants will learn color blending, layering, and
embedding techniques to capture ocean-inspired waves, lagoon ripples,
and other natural motifs.
On Day 02, they complete their
artworks by releasing them from molds, adding finishing touches, and
sharing their creative inspirations with the group. Each participant
leaves with a personalized piece of resin art that embodies the spirit
of Sri Lankan coastal life
